There are a few simple commands you can use within GNU Backgammon to
display information you might need to know:
help [command]

? [command]

Describe the commands that @gnubg{} understands.
help by itself
lists the main commands with a one-line description of each; when
command is specified, that command is explained in more detail,
and if it has any subcommands then they are listed in brief.
? is a synonym for help.
show copying

show warranty
-
These commands are used to show the conditions GNU Backgammon is
distributed under (the GNU General Public License). Essentially, there
is no warranty for @gnubg{}, and everybody is free to use, inspect,
copy, modify and distribute it. You are permitted to do just about
anything with @gnubg{}, except deny these freedoms to others. For a
precise description of your rights and obligations, please use the
show copying and show warranty commands, or see the file
`COPYING' in the @gnubg{} distribution (the contents are identical).
